Bruce brings decades of experience in leadership, planning, and instruction to the America’s Boating Club – Golden Isles classroom. He served as an Associate Professor at St. Cloud State University, where he taught graduate and doctoral-level courses. A national presenter and trainer, he is known for his clear, practical teaching style and his ability to translate complex concepts into real-world decision-making skills.

He holds an Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota, and is the author of Looking Out for #2, a book focused on effective leadership and followership.

In the classroom, Bruce emphasizes preparation, critical thinking, and sound judgment—skills that translate directly to safer, more confident boating.
